Counselling and Therapy

A unique opportunity for you to have dedicated 'me' time - a place and time for you

Counselling and Therapy in the City, EC2 - by Liverpool Street & near Bank, Moorgate, Aldgate, Old Street stations | & Telephone Counselling

Session Details

I offer an initial assessment session to all prospective clients. This provides a chance for you to talk about your reasons in seeking help and to discuss what hopes and expectations you may have for therapy. I will explain confidentiality and how I work, and offer a chance where you can ask me any questions.

There is no obligation following this assessment. If we both agree to work together, suitable dates and times will be arranged for future on-going therapy sessions. I will be happy to make any suggestions if any onward referral is needed.

At all times you will be heard in a confidential and safe manner and in accordance with the code of ethics of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) of which I am a member. I receive regular supervision from a BACP registered supervisor in order to ensure that I maintain a high standard of practice.

Currently, I offer both face-to-face and telephone counselling.

Face-to-face therapy takes place in central London EC2 - by Liverpool Street station, near Bank, Moorgate, Aldgate and Old Street stations, close to the busy business areas of the city.

Telephone counselling offers therapy to suit your needs, which may prove easier to manage if for instance, you are travelling, have child-care issues or have a hectic work/life balance.

Fees

From September 2015, my fees per 50 minute session are:

Face-to-face: £55 per session
Telephone: £45 per session

Initial Assessment sessions are offered with a £5 reduction in cost.

I ask you to make any payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer, in advance or during each session. If you do not keep your payments up to date, I will not be able to keep your counselling space open for you. Fees are subject to regular review.

Attendance & Cancellation Policy

In order for you to benefit the most from counselling it is important you attend each session. It is important you give me as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend your session and I will do the same.

There is 24 hour cancellation policy on all sessions. In some instances it may be possible to reschedule sessions for the same week, otherwise the full fee will be charged. A reduced fee will be charged for any notified or planned holidays.

Other than for holidays, emergencies or illness, if you miss sessions regularly or miss two sessions in a row without contacting me, I may not be able to keep your counselling space open for you.

If you wish to end the sessions before any pre-arranged time scale then I suggest we meet at least for two weeks to work through the ending process and review the work completed.

These will be discussed in more detail during your initial assessment session.
